Players Who Impressed at the NW Collegiate Showcase
Highlighting some of the players who made a big impression at the Northwest’s Premier Showcase opportunity
Jacob Oosterhof — 2028 Fusion West | Attack
Jacob was a player that caught attention early in drillwork and was consistent throughout the event. A slick right-handed attackman, he finishes creatively and uses his strength and quickness to get to dangerous areas of the field.
Wilson West — 2028 South Sound | Midfield
West was arguably the most dominant player at the showcase throughout the day. He showed an ability to win one-on-one matchups, shoot from multiple releases, feed teammates, and make plays with crafty stickwork in tight spaces. He is a top player to watch as the recruiting process progresses.
Darren Basran — 2028 Fusion West | Faceoff
Basran is a tall, rangy faceoff specialist who consistently won clamps with his quick hands. Even more impressive were his stick skills and ability to contribute as an extra offensive player. He scored one of the most impressive goals of the night, handling pressure in the crease, executing a poised face dodge, and finishing with a backhand shot into the top corner.
Marshall Brown — 2028 South Sound | Defense
Standing close to 6'3", Brown immediately stands out with his size and physical presence. He made several impressive plays during the early drills and followed them up with a strong defensive performance in the scrimmages. With his size and stick skills, he has the potential to be a strong cover close defender in college.
Joe Foreman — 2027 Fusion West | Goalie
Foreman showcased impressive hand speed during the goalie spotlight sessions early in the event. He followed that up with several strong saves in the scrimmage and demonstrated poise and confidence in the clearing game.
Oscar Williams — 2028 Team Oregon | Defense
Williams is a classic, no-nonsense shutdown defender. He frustrates opposing attackmen with sound positioning, strong fundamentals, and a high lacrosse IQ. He consistently stays connected to his defensive unit and understands how to play within the team structure. His offball presence, on ball consistency, and frame make him one of the top uncommitted 2028 defenders in the NW.
Tucker Daigle — 2028 ADVNC Seattle Starz | Midfield
Daigle is a dynamic midfielder who impressed with his change of direction and speed during the scrimmages. He is a difficult matchup for opposing defenses and can create opportunities by attacking from multiple areas of the field.
Cooper Lee — 2029 Team Oregon | LSM
Lee seemed to run for three straight quarters during the scrimmage. He was relentless on the ball and in transition, and his motor stood out throughout the day. Despite the limited depth at LSM, he maintained his intensity and continued to make plays. He also showed poise on offense, consistently making smart decisions to create early-offense opportunities for his team.
Jasper Jacobs — 2029 Cityside | LSM
Jacobs is an intriguing prospect out of Seattle Prep. His length allows him to disrupt opposing attackmen and get into shooting lanes, while his confident stickwork makes him effective in the clearing game. He is one to watch closely to see how he continues to develop over the next six months.
Dylan Berquist — 2029 South Sound | Midfield
Berquist stood out because of his athleticism. He covered ground effortlessly as a defensive midfielder and showed the ability to break down defenders as an offensive dodger. He has all the tools to be successful at the next level and shows versatility in his two way ability. Berquist could be one of the more dynamic players in the 2029 class if he can add some more slickness to his game.
Jackson Compston — 2029 ADVNC Seattle Starz
The best way to describe Compston is relentless. One of the top 2029 prospects in the NW he brings an unwavering competitive edge to every play, whether he's battling for position on the wing, scooping up a tough ground ball, or fighting to win possession for his team. He plays physical, disciplined on-ball defense, making him a difficult matchup for opposing offensive players.
Elliot Torrey — 2030 | Attack
Torrey showcased one of the best sticks in the 2029/2030 scrimmage. He is a savvy offensive player who can finish difficult shots and adjust his shooting angles when defenders rush their approach. His ability to make plays in tight spaces stood out as an American with a box style to his game.
Liam Stenmoe — 2030 Cityside | Goalie
Stenmoe impressed with his patience on shots, quick hands, and composure in the clearing game. He also helped lead his team to a Battle of the Border championship over the weekend. He was consistent in saving all of the shots he needed to despite facing numerous high level shooters and older competition in the scrimmages.
